The Pit is a flat-pack fire pit cut from 3mm Corten weathering steel and made in our workshop in Ballarat, Victoria. Seven pieces slot together in a couple of minutes — no bolts, no welds, no tools.
Left outside, the Corten begins to rust within about a week, developing the deep red patina the material is known for. That patina protects the steel underneath, so there's nothing to paint and nothing to maintain. It just gets better looking.
